First off, have you seen the new video for "Never Learned To Fly"? It was directed, shot and edited by The Odd Birds' Ron Grigsby. I love how intimate the video is and how he cut in live bits and all that. It was fun to make and discuss the intention behind the song and try to imbue the video with that intent. Now this show is not going to just be me solo. No. This is going to be Tracy, Matt and myself. We've been rehearsing for our shows overseas in a stripped down and intimate way: Matt on his cajon kit and singing, Tracy on, well, bass and singing and me? Well, I'm kind of the same, just fewer guitars. We've been rehearsing with what we will have with us for our shows over there and it's been really great. I'm excited for how it is sounding and I think you will dig it in the coffeehouse format. It is our last local show until November. Now, I know it's been hot in SoCal as of late but Seal Beach is usually a little bit cooler as Bogart's is right across the street from the beach and the ocean. Hope you'll come out and hang out with us.

 

To everyone that did the pre-sale on the vinyl - THANK YOU! All pre-sales have shipped out and you should either have them or be close to receiving them. I hope you enjoyed the special insert in the vinyl - I had fun making that. Since the last time I wrote, I have received some great press on the new album as well - I put them here to make it easy to see. It's been pretty amazing to see how these songs are resonating with folks. Can't ask for more than that.
