In Too Many Miles: On the Road with an Unofficial Rock & Roll Goodwill Ambassador, singer-songwriter Bobbo Byrnes takes readers on a globe-spanning journey through the highs and heartbreaks of life as a modern troubadour. With wit and honesty, he captures the pulse of endless touring — the motel mornings, border crossings, small-town bars, festivals and fleeting moments of connection that define a life lived in motion.
Along the way he discovers what it means to be an American artist traveling the world - his travels aren’t only musical; they become political. As an American abroad, he finds himself navigating questions of identity, nationalism, and empathy in a divided world. Through music and conversation, he discovers that songs can build bridges where politics cannot. Part memoir, part travelogue, and wholly human, Too Many Miles is a meditation on art, hope, and the power of carrying a guitar — and an open heart — across borders.

I'm digging the Lena shirt. You don't know Lena? Look inside or on the back cover of the self titled album. She was in the studio while I was making that album. Climbing on amps, knocking things over. She even meows on a vocal take. She was singing along! And yes, the image even capture her thumbs.
The black eyed Susan from Heike's garden picture that is on the cd and I looked up what the symbolism is for these flowers and found "Resilience, Endurance, and Survival" and thought what better for this album about traveling, resilience and endurance.

Discovering and 'promoting' the works of acts like Bobbo Byrnes is why I started this whole reviewing malarkey; even though it shouldn't really be necessary when this is his tenth release under his own name and/or with his band The Fallen Stars; but with so much competition out there I sometimes feel I am a lone voice in the wilderness ...... so buy SeaGreenNumber5 or be damned to Hell!

These are super cute little wooden flash drives that have 51 songs on them - all 6 albums (and a few extra things as well)
"Given his enthusiasm and determination to do what Williams suggested in the poem of the same name, The Red Wheelbarrow offers another obvious example of Bobbo Byrnes’ astute ability to share optimism and possibility through songs that rock with both desire and determination. His knowing attitude boasts infectious energy that surges from start to finish. Consider The Red Wheelbarrow an essential acquisition, and every one of Byrnes’ earlier efforts to be of similar standing as well. Whether the wider world recognizes it or not, he ought to be considered an essential Americana master." ~ The Daily Ripple
“Bobbo Byrnes offers an approach that is the essence of genuine Americana - heart wrenching, passionate and a sound that's both tender and tenacious without compromising either. His latest album, Two sides To This Town, is authentic, illuminating and entirely pervasive, as if plucked from real life circumstance and then transposed to this series of impassioned performances. Anchored by acoustic guitars and Byrnes' assertive vocals, the songs resonate with a resilience and determination that leaves no doubt as to his credence and commitment. It only takes a cursory listen to Two Sides To this Town to recognize the fact that an important and essential new artist has indeed arrived.” ~ Goldmine Magazine (January 2019)
"Singer-songwriter-multi-instrumentalist Bobbo Byrnes of The Fallen Stars and Riddle & The stars delivers plain spoken, heart felt tales of love, life and day to day existence in his new CD release Motel Americana with remarkable clarity. He’s the man you meet at the small town lunch counter that freely shares his colorful stories of this and that. Only difference is, Bobbo puts his earthy stories to music for all the world to hear much like Steve Earle and Willie Nelson have over the years." ~ Metronome Magazine
Songs inspired by the late Representative John Lewis' words about getting in trouble, good trouble, necessary trouble. It's political only in the way that standing up for what is right is political. All money from this release will be donated to the John and Lillian Miles Lewis Foundation for voting and civil rights. Feel free to pay whatever you want for these songs - we will donate whatever you pay to that foundation.
